Dr. Donald G. Proctor- Pastor

After attending High Schools in Plainview and Lubbock Donald (Donny) joined the Army and spent four years in the service of his country.  Thirty–nine of those months he spent on the East-West border walls of Germany.  It was there that he began to hear the call to the ministry.  After coming back to the US he married Debbie and they moved to Lubbock where Donny attended Texas Tech.  At the end of his sophomore year he answered the Lord’s call into the pastoral ministry and transferred to Wayland Baptist University where he earned his BA and MA.  From Plainview he moved to the East Coast to attend Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and later Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary where he earned his Doctorate.

Bro. Donny and Debbie with Landall and Shawn have served churches in Jayton and Muleshoe, Texas, along with those in South Hill, Hopewell and Brookneal, Virginia.  After twenty-three years the Proctor’s are excited to be back in Texas and involved with the people of First Baptist Cotulla in ministry to the wonderful people of this area.
